Company History

Long before the term “consumer-generated media” was coined, Stanford graduates Samer Hamadeh and Mark Oldman hatched the idea for Vault. Entrepreneurs at heart, they decided that the best way to avoid the corporate rat race might just be to help others navigate the maze. Their goal was to create a company dedicated to revealing what life is really like at the nation's top corporations and firms, in highly-competitive industries and jobs. They set out to go beyond company brochures and institutional information — tapping directly into employees for their authentic perspective. Samer and Mark first teamed up in 1993 to write a guide to the nation’s top internships, published by The Princeton Review and Random House. Three years later, joined by Samer’s brother Hussam, they formed Vault. The rest is history. Check it out:
